With her husband, Rev. Cecil Williams as Minister of Liberation, Mirikitani serves as Director of Programs at the renowned Glide Memorial United Methodist Church in San Francisco. A major poet who has written three critically acclaimed books, she writes of her childhood in an internment camp for Japanese Americans and of the incestuous abuse she suffered.
